LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTSimon JohnsonSimon Johnson is one of England’s foremost landscape and garden designers. Over the past 20 years, his work has included private gardens in the United Kingdom, southern Spain, and on the shores of the Baltic Sea. He has also worked extensively in the United States, from California to Maine, Chicago to Fort Worth. Simon has undertaken public commissions in the UK, working with English Heritage to create a garden for HM the Queen Mother at Walmer Castle in Kent, and with the Beaverbrook Foundation to restore Cherkley Court in Surrey. The gardens that Simon will create at Windermere will be an imaginative and contemporary reworking of the English Arts & Crafts idiom, using local materials and a range of plants suited to the climate and soil of New England. |

Handmade in America and designed with an English sensibility, Christopher Peacock has created exceptional rooms exclusively for Windermere on the Lake. He's personally designed kitchens, mud rooms, bathrooms and pantries that respect the form and function of the outstanding architecture. His workshop uses the best joinery methods, highest construction standards and best on-site, hand-finishing techniques.

Karen Houghton Interiors has been providing clients with sophisticated design and livable homes that accommodate their family's needs and personalities for more than twenty years. Karen and her staff of designers work closely with their clients in a variety of styles to create interiors that are interesting and comfortable, as well as stylish and functional. Past projects have ranged in size from whole houses to much smaller assignments. Karen has been published in Architectural Digest, and in Chris Madden's Bedrooms and Living Rooms books, as well as many other publications.

Redniss & Mead, Inc., local land use specialists founded in 1957, provided planning, surveying, and engineering services for the project and led a team of professionals to help bring the vision of Windermere on the Lake to fruition. Redniss & Mead Inc. has long been a proponent of conservation oriented developments having drafted regulations in 1981 allowing for more flexible zoning to encourage the preservation of open spaces. The firm works on a wide array of projects with specific focus in southwestern Connecticut.
